This herb is used to reduce swollen lymph glands, various lumps, and nodules, especially in the neck, associated with goiter, scrofula, or tuberculosis. It is also used in formulas for fluid retention and as an expectorant. Traditionally, it has been used for hernia pain and pain in the testes.
