Gallstone or the bile of an ox, water buffalo, or pig. It is dried and made into a powder for pills.

It is used for high fever with accompanying delirium and convulsion. It is also used for chronic sore throat or internal abscesses that have ruptured.
Description
This substance is extremely expensive and primarily used in the Chinese patent called Niu Huang Jie Du Pian. The combination of niu huang with rhinoceros or water buffalo horn can be a lifesaver in the treatment of Legionnaire's disease, meningitis, and encephalitis.

Safety
Cow bezoar should not be used by pregnant women or those with spleen and stomach coldness and deficiency.
